The Hess Collection's most Iconic Cabernet Sauvignon in a double magnum, 3 liters. The more the merrier!
The lion has been the emblem of the Hess Family for nine generations. It has come to symbolize the bold and persevering nature of founder Donald Hess and our winery home on Mount Veeder.
You might say this is a wine 30 years in the making with the potential to age and be ready to enjoy when another 30 years has come and gone.
This Small Block Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from legendary Napa vineyards notable in their own right. The Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper vineyard from Oakville is the backbone of the blend, a vineyard first planted in 1877 to grapes, prunes and walnuts, typical of the time.
Our signature Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon comes from our estate Veeder Hills Vineyard. The elevation of this vineyard ranges from 600-1,120 feet, and its steep slopes and sedimentary clay and shale soils restrict root growth, resulting in Mount Veeder’s hallmark small berries with intense fruit flavors.
Distinct notes of vanilla and oak spice from aging in American oak add to the personality of the wine, surely one of our most popular Napa offerings.
This, you can depend on each and every vintage. Backyard BBQ? Check. Date night out? Check.
