Wines We're Drinking Now
The lion has been the emblem of the Hess Family for nine generations. It has come to symbolize the bold and persevering nature of founder Donald Hess and our winery home on Mount Veeder.
Our signature Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon comes from our estate Veeder Hills Vineyard. The elevation of this vineyard ranges from 600-1,120 feet, resulting in Mount Veeder’s hallmark small berries with intense fruit flavors.
Each holiday season Hess Collection winemaker Dave Guffy crafts a limited release cuvée meant for sharing with friends and family and dressed in a collectible edition bottle. Now, for the first time, available in 750ml.
A beautiful and bold blend that highlights how Malbec can wrap itself seductively around Cabernet and create a luscious and complete wine.
From vineyard to your glass, this fruit gets special attention, and is offered in a pure, Chablis like style that is crisp and clean, with touches of minerality and a surprising creaminess that comes from lees stirring bi-weekly
Hints of dusty cocoa and vanilla dominate in the aromas wafting from your glass, leading to deeply colored, intensely flavored dark fruits with chewy tannins.
This vibrant Zinfandel hails from the iconic Rockpile appellation. Located just 16 miles from the Pacific Ocean in the northwest corner of Sonoma County, the region is prized by those who love Zinfandel. Sweeping sun exposures, mountainous terroir and shallow, rocky soils stress the vines producing low yields with grapes of exceptional quality.
This inaugural vintage offers yellow stone fruit aromas that lead to delicious flavors of peach, white pear and grilled pineapple
Flavors of dried apricot and starfruit are showcased in a wine that’s crisp and pleasantly tart, a wonderful pairing for richly sauced seafood.
Presenting gorgeous blush tones in the glass, our Petite Sirah Rosé is affectionately called “the answer” by the Winemaking Team.
