Artezin wines are handcrafted with pure varietal character by focusing on heirloom varieties, being sensitive to their inherent uniqueness and to the terroir in which they grow. Artezin currently produces Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignan, Charbono, Mourvedre, and Verdelho.
The heritage vineyard plots interwoven along Contra Costa County’s northern border are hallowed ground for Zinfandel purists. Black fruits dominate this wine, with aromas of blackberries, currants and savory notes of dried herbs.
Truly a mysterious heirloom variety, Charbono hails from the Savoie region of the French Alps where it is nearly extinct. In France, it is known as Douce Noir (Soft Black) and Corbeau Noir (Black Raven) because of its dark color.
Artezin Zinfandel is instantly recognizable as a classic, fruit-forward, Zinny Zin. This signature style offers a full-bodied wine with round tannins and moderate alcohol.
