This very special reserve level Pinot Noir comes from our Mardikian Estate Vineyard in the Sebastopol Hills in west Sonoma County, just miles from the Sonoma Coast. Here, extreme growing conditions challenge our winemakers in every vintage. The salty air descends each day on the vineyard, leaving a distinctive and easily recognizable signature. On this vintage, aromas of ripe black cherries and clove are complemented by flavors of dark berries and notes of forest floor. Silky, elegant tannins work in tandem with the layered flavors and hints of smoke as a subtle acidity provides a beautiful lift to complete the wine. -Dave Guffy, Director of Winemaking
